Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

So I managed to go to Target and the grocery store, and get home and do a few tasks before realizing I still had an egg in the pouch of my hoodie from this morning! Not the first time, and won't be the last. Just the longest I've gone before remembering.

So I bought a bag of BOSS for the first time... All my girls turned up their noses and walked away annoyed that I hadn't brought them anything "good" to eat... <sigh>

Mine refuse it too! Got home all excited and they looked at me like "Sigh, can't get good help these days!" lol
Tried mixing it in their feed but they ate around it and I just had a tray of sunflower seeds left!

I haven't had any issue with the cold and frostbite here in Graham. We got down to 8 degrees several times last winter. Some of the chickens sleep in dog houses in dog kennels and I have a 10x16 walled in awning that is the main coop. Lots of ventilation. The only roosts are 2x4s on their side in the main coop so everyone has warm toes. The Rocks didn't have any issue with their combs last year, and the New Hampshires didn't have issues with the cold snaps we've had this year. I think if they get cold they just shove it under a neighbor. Everyone snuggles up close to each other except the Brahmas. I swear they complain it's to hot out at those temperatures.
