Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Several times a day I take the dogs out to the nestboxes and open them up. I tell them "Find it!" And give them a treat when they alert to an egg. Was walking one of them around the side of the house when she stopped dead in her tracks and alerted to the wood bin! I braced myself for something like our neighbors cat Joffrey having left a maimed bunny or something...

My dog just sniffed out Kiev's secret stash!
She started squatting a few days ago. They were in a small leaf pile behind the wood bin. Hate wasting eggs.
Gonna keep the girls locked up til afternoon for a few days.

What a great dog!

We LOVE our friends in Washington State and we know y'all love to chat! The original Washingtonians thread has over 80,000 replies which is AMAZING!

It's great to see peeps who love raising backyard chickens come together, but all that discussion in a 5 year old thread is bogging down the server when we do updates. For this reason we're starting this new Washingtonians thread.

Rest assured that the entire original Washingtonians thread will remain closed from new replies, but completely intact. You'll be able to reference, search, and read it any time!

Please continue all of your great discussions here.

Thanks to all our Washington friends for being (chatty) members of our wonderful community!!!!

If I found you, does that mean I earn a sticker? is that what it means when it says find a staff?

On a separate note: My name is Kelsey and I am new to BYC. =) I live in western Wa. and am looking to make networking relationships and get guidance in my various chickie endeavers =) thank you for accepting me in advance. I'm excited to be here. I'm very friendly feel free to come talk with me =)

I'm really disturbed. We have a little roo that just found out that he's a roo. So now he's chasing all the girls around the. Yard getting what he can.
While going about the chores I hear a squawk from my five week old duck. I've been wondering if it was a hen. The roo is taking advantage of my poor little duck. I guess I'm going to be moving thelittle duck uin with the big ducks.
