Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Got mine at Baxter Barn in Fall City. I think they get their chicks from Ideal(?). I like my girls, but I wouldn't order or buy from them again. Birds and eggs are smaller than advertised, and the Faverolles coloring is a mess :)

Would you post a few pictures of your Favs? Mine are from Cackle and the hens are a bit dark and I had considered swinging by Baxter but if his aren't any better I'll skip it.

Most my hen have too much black for my liking. This its Samson with one of his women.

i began with and like much lighter hens but see a growing trend with darker coloration as with yours. technically they should have creamy white breasts and white muffs and beards……but there are so many variations now. Yours have decent color…..there are lots which have black beards and dark breasts and necks, some from hatcheries are even losing their conformation….

Monroe feed near the fairgrounds has lots of different varieties of chicks in….They could not tell me which hatchery the Favs came from but have ordered from4-5 different ones. they had just come in but hadn't traveled well, they were the youngest in the room……everyone else looked fine.

Monroe show is coming up, Kim Hunter usually shows and has some nice birds….not sure who else may come…..I just learned yesterday that i might not be able to go…still hoping to be able to stop by …….

My Faverolles went broody on me and she's just turned 7 months old. I'm trying to break her though. We'll see how it goes.

Does anyone know the admission fee to the WFF show in Monroe? And are the hours 9 - 2? I can not find much information on their website. It seems like the info should be there since it is such a big event.
