So I need to move the EE mama and her chicks to a pen as soon as the rain calms down a bit. I need the house she's in for a silkie mama and any chicks that hatch this weekend. Hopefully I get a splash wheaten boy out of it. I love how they look.

So, the person came after younger bird and looked & said in so much non-English::::: This is no bird I have ever seen ?!? This is not 'OUR' Black chicken......maybe this is a chicken from CHINA ???Evidently ommona bird is the Cernimani.....he said their chicken in Thai Camb was a black chicken.
Period.
So it must be the Cemani......................not the Silkies

It must be the ayam cemani then. Silkies are Chinese. Do I need to come down there and get the boys this weekend?

Cool! Do you have a plan for identifying the OE when it hatches? Did Lyn give you an idea what it will look like versus the other chicks?

To be honest, I hadn't thought about it. It was a "surprise" so I haven't gotten that far

ANY feed store this time of year should have EEs...what they call Ameracaunas.

That's what I thought but I wasn't 100% sure. I think she wants to take a trip up to Fall City to that one farm. I'm so tired. Went to the chiropractor for the first time today. I feel "better" but I'm exhausted. He said I might feel this way but jeez.

Anyone looking to buy a coop?

I have two that I'd sell - they are good sized 8x10 and 8x12. I built them both so that they could be pulled around the pasture with a tractor. They are on skids made of treated 4x4's. Easy enough to get a trailer on the property and wench them up onto the trailer.

I'm in Central WA. so not a long drive for anyone.

I'll see if I cant find a photo...
