In the Brooder
Feed stores might have some still. The feed store by my place has some started pullets for sale that weren't sold from their spring chick orders. I am not close to Puyallup though.

Brand new chicken mama here! I have seven breeds I'd like to combine to start my flock, but all of the bigger hatcheries have minimum orders that are far too many chicks for this lady! Any suggestions??? I'm in puyallup
I have a wonderful thing to have to deal with.........................
YUCK.................
I have a 1 yr old Blue OE, that lays an awesome avacado-spotted EX large egg every day.......who is crop impacted.
I have kinda waited to see if she is going to handle it, and we did the hang-upside down thing months ago....
I am thinking I should get my surgical stuff out & deal with it....but I still need some local anesthetic.................so we'll see, I hate to operate on an animal with no local !
we read on some thread here to use olive oil with water n rub the crop .it worked its way out.no problems. What happened with your bird... I had a crop impacted young pullet once and had to aid in the removal... Time and patience. I then fed her gaterade and she healed... She is now a 22 week old Minorca... Small..... Because I think the impacted crop stunted her a bit but happy.
