I've got a squatter myself right now. She's about 7 months old. No egg yet!

They're smooth feathered, clean footed, black with red around the neck. The coloration is called "gul o svart" which roughly translates to yellow on black. They are a landrace, so their genetics have lots of variety in them! I'll take some pictures tomorrow when it gets light out. They're 9 weeks old right now.Is he the wooly kind?
I think a hatch and swap is a great idea! Or even just an egg swap.![]()
We'll have to compile a list of members who want to participate and breeds available. But I think it is do-able.
My wheaten ameraucana fertility is crap right now and probably will be until spring. I don't hatch many of them anyway and need to work more on them if I want to show them.
There are always fertile partridge silkie eggs here. I just have to keep them away from the hens because there are always partridge silkie broodies as well.
This is looking good! I would be able to pitch in bcm and rt or rc araucana for pures then I have a variety of hens to do mixes.. ameracauna, ee, barnevelder, cuckoo maran, welsummer, slw, sf, speckled susex. Other roos I have for crossing are partridge rock and sf x p rock.
This has potential for major coolness... I wonder what happens when an aracauna breeds an ameracauna? An ararmaracauna?
