Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I agree too, but it's not always possible. I guess that's the chance that those of us take who don't quarantine. I don't have anywhere to do that. If I did have the space, I certainly would. All I did with this new chicken was look through her poos after she had made a few and checked her for mites. Of course I observed her general behavior too and she was acting fine. Of course the cocci in the soil she came from can be (and most likely is) totally different from what is here, and, I don't know about her Merek's exposure though mine have been vaccinated.

Again, I've got nothing to go on except prayer.
What on earth are you looking at poo for ?
You cannot see worm ova by the naked eye or even by eye loup, and even if you introduced her to the flock, even if she had worms, they would not "get on" any others.
What I do is quarranteen, WORM, and douse with mite powder...enough trauma.
These usually are in a pen that has to be immunized, and so they do get immunized with the spring chicks.

Hey everyone! I'm also a Washingtonian. Obviously. I've lived here my entire life.
I'll try to catch up a bit, but man is there a lot of posts!

Who else almost had a heart attack!!!!!! Go Hawks!!!!
ME!!! So they won by the loss of the other team...not a very good record...if that other kicker had been worth his weight, we'd be in deep doo doo...Come on hawks better do better than that !!
Hard to do with nothing but half a first string & most of the rest 2nd & 3rd string men..............

Congratulations!!

We thought that with that last penalty that the Hawks had lost the game. Could not believe that the kicker and holder of the Vikings muffed that field goal. The SeaHawks had better get their act together if they want to advance any further.
Exactly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Winning because someone else screwed up is not exactly a win !

@Chickielady you have bbs ameraucana right? I might have to get a nice blue or splash wheaten boy from you this year.

I'm almost done with the last of my soup boys here and will have an empty pen here soon that I have to move. Actually got a lot of rearranging of panels to do. Will have four 10x20 pens that open up to a 20x20 netted central courtyard so that I can let the silkies out in it to eat grass occasionally without me having to sit out there watching. We'll see how long the grass lasts.

Do you want chicks or grown birds and how far are you willing to travel to get them?
