I've used this brand for livestock. It comes as pellets that turn fluffy when wet, but if saturated, would still be mushy.

I'd still cover the run in our climate.

Thank you for the photo makes it easy, I am going to cover some I have a 16x20 tarp heavy duty 11 ml I will put over but will support it better than the 8x10 I have over one tiny area attached to the chicken wire I have over the entire run. I am also thinking I have 2 snapper riding mowers I am going to move the run to the side give them new area to decimate let the current one recover maybe but that is a few months down the road. Garden fence and a greenhouse are first.

I think we are a great group, I sure enjoy what we can all achieve having like sounding boards or teachers and students depending on what is talked about.

My cockerel got caught by a gust and flipped a few times, right after trying to grab a hen.
