My family would relocate me to the compost pile. I've already got ducks going in the bator for my bro and my project. Then I've got a broody on a half dozen she's decided are good, plus the 4 EE pullets I picked up, lol. I think I'm done for this year. Next year it's guinea fowl...

Let me know how you do with the guineas. I am wanting to try a couplen but am reading awful things online about how wild they are and how they pick on chickens. I know if they donvt work out I can sell them at the auction barn for a great price, but I worried I may never be able to catch them to do so. I have nightmares of bands of wild guineas terrorizing the neighborhood!

Guineas are pretty loud. Take that into consideration.

This is why you don't let silkies have access to mud. He's clean elsewhere. Even his feet are cleaner.

They could be a payback to my neighbors dozen or more Jack Russell terriers...can't stand those dogs!

Guineas NEVER are quiet.............and they LOVE to fly, and free range.
If you can raise them up & free them, they'll be fine.
I have never had any "beat up" my chickens.
If caged, they do pace & pace...trying to get out, and may stumble on a chicken.

They love being on top of the house, and we have a rain water collection, so that did not work well...they make alot of racket and hated DH...they would see him coming & move into the "machine gun" alert...they hated him, cuz he hated them...when they saw me they made very nice noises...
Guineas will let you know exactly how they feel about whatever!
