Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I am now finally completly fenced so its just the eagles and hawks ( and occasional wild cat/racoon to worry about.) It wasn't the neighborhood dogs but the coyote's that would constantly hide and nab birds and cats, lost 2 turkeys too. have 2 awesome neighborhood Border collies that would come to visit after the fence was finished who helped me find places the coyotes could still get in.
Its nice to be able to free range but we owe them some sense of safety.
It did take awhile, we did it in chunks on 7 acres but am so glad now…..
Wanna come do perimeter on my place now ?
The brush is so thick there is no way to set posts & wire....

well we are still kicking trying to get the mowing done 1st old snapper slipped the blade belt, #2 has no spark think I may play with the new coop need to cut down plywood for a 1 ft pony wall then plan the play yard for them getting 6 or 8 more bard rocks my every day layers. got love the NW when the weather is good

I did 330 feet...half my west property line in 3 foot tall 2x4 inch mesh with bottom hotwire on the dog side. The rest of the botder is chainlink dog kennel panels..movable and MUCH cheaper than permanent fencing!

chainlink dog kennel panels are cheaper than 2x4 wire fencing? That's surprising to me. Good to know though.

I don't know about the welded wire. Itvs cheap, but you can't stretch it. I used knotted 2x4 on my west side. It is pricey. I was pricing perm. chainlink. The dog kennel panel I get from Wilco...they cut me a deal because I buy 10 at a time. Less than 1/4 what installed would cost!

I am worried about my chicks foot. Tonight when I pick her up she holds one leg up in the toes curled. She will stand on the leg and I don't think she's limping but I'm not sure why she's holding that leg at a weird angle and curling her toes.

@Leigti I am no expert on this but I'm pretty sure I've read that it could be from a B vitamin deficiency. The natural way would be to feed it some finely chopped high quality liver or some raw grass fed beef (this is what I did), orthere may be a vitamin drench at your local store. Someone else will hopefully chime in with their opinion, but in the mean time I would do the above right away, it certainly will do no harm.
