ISO took me a bit the first few times i saw it on a craigslist ad. Heck some of the things people put on those there is no contextual clue to even attempt translating what they are saying.

This is why we have people that specialize in selling & commercial advertising............cuz the rest have no clue to what they are selling nor do they cover the strong points of what it is they are selling...

We have a lot of books in this house published in UK, Canada, and Australia. I don't even notice the different spellings.

Explaining idioms to my german friends has really opened my eyes to how confusing some of our stuff is. I have to think before saying some things. "Would she understand this?"
