Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Sent hubby that Trump picture. He's not talking to me now

Maybe he would prefer this picture of Trump's wife (photoshopped by someone else to cover her full nudity) when she posed for a French magazine! She is not my idea of a classy First Lady. She seems more like a mail order bride for someone who thinks money can buy people.

Hinotori how many did they get......

Everything two feet off the ground in that area. Not a loss really. There are way to many patches of the things on the fenceline here. I fight to keep them back.

The berries on the east side of my drive entrance are the best. Full sun all day. Chickens don't wander that far from their pen

Looks like bumblefoot to me. Got to do surgery to remove the core. It's a pain in the rear. I have one hen that is very prone to them.

If then, we are to do surgery, do we go in from the bottom where the hole is OR do we go in through the top where the "corn" is?

I'd probably do from both sides, starting at the top since the worst of it is probably there. Got to make sure you get it all or it comes back. My books say that bumblefoot can go right through the foot, I've just never personally had to deal with one that bad.

It was recommended that I put my chronic case down since it's very painful for them. I must have removed a dozen over a years time. I finally got her feet healthy and she hasn't had another in almost a year.

Other than her, i only had a rooster get one and he was easy to take care of.

Make sure to keep the foot wrapped until fully healed. Antibiotic ointment is fine as long as it doesn't have any pain killer. (Birds are sensitive to pain killers).

Vet wrap is cheap at the feed store. I use it on me instead of the expensive "human" stuff in the pharmacy area that is the same thing.
