Last week we were like that. If it would pick one temp I'd be happy

I'd settle for more than two hours of sun in a day. My garden is looking pathetic. It's been so overcast here on the beach. Even the zucchini are struggling.

everything here is struggling planted quite late in ground that had the real dirt tilled out..
If I do a garden next year quite a few changes need to done to the ground this fall

Today is shaping up to be 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. Think i might go pose the silkies again.

I need to get a few white silkie hens. The whites take such better pictures.

Do we get to see the paintings? I should do another chicken but the DH wants an owl for some reason

Also late to the molting topic but I feel I've gathered enough feathers to make a new chicken! I was thinking maybe I could stuff a pillow if I took off the quills...?

I always felt that cleaning and removing quills was too much effort for me to stuff anything with chicken feathers. So I let them compost. Wish i could think of something to do with the pretty rooster tail feathers.

This happens sometimes (couple years ago) and I feel horrible for the poor birds. She had hardly anything left. Just enough to make it look like she had some coverage in the pictures.
