Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Kenshan- Good luck with the rehoming. I had a few boys I had to find homes for over the years and it was tough. Have you tried Craig's list? I had really good luck; homed a few beauties from there My brahma got to have his own flock of gals to impress for the rest of his life.

I am currently playing the gender guessing game. My chicks are 3.5 weeks and I am driving myself crazy trying to guess based on leg width and comb height.

French bread from Winco is a no no for me.

The pink bottle is not supposed to be a beverage.

So I'm trying to decide if a chicken vs dog Battle Royale for the rest of the bread would be amusing enough. Athena never gets any, but Zeus is faster than any chicken when it comes to food.

Why yes I do run my own barnyard Hunger Games. The battle over left over broccoli always cracks me up because the chickens really don't want it but they will grab anything I toss out. The dogs love the cooked broccoli.
I have that stupid IBD as they call it many processed foods maybe that is why
I became so blasted domestic in my old age

I will not give up my two cups of coffee

There will be no time till Monday then the my BF will wack his head off
the key to that is finding him.. the coloring is that of a barred darn snot
only time you really see it is at night when they roost we were just talking about this
we will off him monday night stick him in the cooler then skin him Tuesday morning
Male Barred Rocks should be obviously different from the females. Plus, there are the different hackle and saddle feathers...

It's amazing what two weeks away from the horny roosters will do for a hen during molt.

Pumpkin can't be let out with the general silkies because he's blind now and boys are abusive, so I've been tossing the bad looking hens in with him.

It took my main rooster months to get up the nerve to try and mount the adult Barred Rock hens. It wasn't till he was about 8 to 10 months old that they started laying fertile eggs consistently from him. There are still two that he doesn't even dare look at. Those kinds of hens really do help make for well-behaved cockerel. They beat the manners into the boys. My 5 month old boy lives in terror of the black and white demon hens...

This is because I value opinions and we wont get to the bird for a day or so

so what do you think doesnt seem to scream cockerel to me
