Love it! Haven't spent enough time by the fire this summer. Only been camping once this year... What's up with that?
Oh! Oh! Sold my last 5 chicks this afternoon. Bitter sweet, I wish I could have grown a few out myself, they were all neat little chickies. Some day!

Finally they are gone. I love little chicks but they turn in to teenagers

We have not had a chance to camp either no fun there

So posted an add on Craigslist for the chicks and see if I can sell a few of the eggs
getting a dozen to 15 a day now

Hello, is there anybody from Walla Walla on this thread? I was wondering if you know for sure if we can have roosters in the city limits. Last time I talked to animal control she said that you could but that she was trying to get the law changed.
My neighbor just informed me that there is a young, not yet full grown, hock that has been sitting on my fence and jumping down into my yard and looking at the chickens. They free range in the yard all day. So I was thinking about maybe getting a little bantam rooster to sound the alarm. I have all large breed chickens. I like hawks and won't hurt it, but I don't want it getting my chickens, but I also don't want to lock my chickens up in a run all the time.

Sorry but seems I am it just now have you tried looking up your ordinances?

The one here on the forum is six years old. I had a written copy of it from last year and it says you can have a rooster. But I have no idea where to look to find it. Found all sorts of information on all kinds of other animals but not chickens.
