@Hinotori I am sorry but BF does the same to me, he gets after me if I cut wood or run the mower
I will be 57 this august but he is 70 now.....

I can't belive I have a Australorp being broody had to take her off the nest at dark and put her on the roost silly girl it's 7 degrees out. She's the same one that went broody this fall and raised chicks only reason I know I put a band on her so I could tell her from the other two. She was a great mother but was done at 3 weeks with the chicks.

They can be a huge pain do it in the spring huh
my Momma EE she raised all the new barreds and other EE and one OE
when she lays an egg it is a big ouch

all of our eggs border jumbo but the hers... they do not make cartons that large as far as I know

Weather is supposed to be ugly next couple of days some snow and anywhere from 1/4" to 1" of freezing rain then 40 degrees and rain. Think I will get the generator ready power will probably go out need to keep the chicks warm.

I really hope we don't get the freezing rain they're talking about. But if all the snow melts at once we're going to probably get flooding.

The ground is frozen solid here that's for sure.

Mom is expecting some nasty weather there. Up here we were at 52 today and it was pretty nice. Rain is coming though. But it's supposed to stay warmer
