I do deep litter so had to run to Morton to Del's feed and shavings

Water has finally gone back down to high normal thank goodness! Nothing was ruined and the worst thing that happened was the chicken run was 6 inches under water so the had to stay locked in for 2 days. Coop was built raised up so no damage there either. We were lucky! Another inch higher and both sheds would have been under water.

We stayed dry. I had to walk through the water because I parked my car in the drive way as the water was a tad too high to risk ruining my car. Both hobby and I have high muck boots so feet were dry too. Couple of the neighbors and a friend stopped in to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything. Let's hope it never gets worse than that while we live here!

I have speckled Sussex and am mainly looking for those. Also need to replace a buff brahma hen for my son.
