Keeps them dry you have seen my photo of mine girls and rooster inside doing dust baths having a ball today benefit of dirt floor

The old pole roof didn't hold snow weight. Also the actual roof tarp that came with it had had it. That thing is around $70 to replace. This was a bit more, but roof replacement in a few years will be under $30 and it holds and sheds snow.

One more roof to get up and the pens are done. Next dry day I'll be putting grommets on tarps.

I bought a bunch of grommet bags from Harbor Freight. I just add one in between what's there. Ties it more securely from the wind.

I'm going to get new wind break cloth to go around next summer. Grommeting that will be so fun. I think light grey would let a lot more light through.

I have a silver but as the old brown one on mine it was still intact but bought a larger silver placed it over the brown should have left the brown intact silver has wholes in not as good as suppose to be but need to add goodnight been a long busy day here need to get you new photos of the terrible 4 also

One of my babies died! Went to let them out this am and one didnt come out. Open the coop and she was dead on the floor. I have thoroughly cleaned the coop. Checked the other ladies. Our other barred rock I brought inside. She seems a bit lethargic. She is poofy and not trying to run around. The dead one had no signs of illness...she was fine then last night when I went to put them up she wouldn't go in the coop. She was the only one out of the coop at dark. Idk what to do...

You can wash the butt with warm water if you wish. I wouldn't do the whole bird.

I'd be worried about Cocci. It flourishes is damp cool weather like we have now.
