You can wash the butt with warm water if you wish. I wouldn't do the whole bird.

I'd be worried about Cocci. It flourishes is damp cool weather like we have now.

I just picked up corid and vetrx. Gonna treat the whole flock. Keep baby inside. After she warmed up she doesnt seem as poofy.

one of the ones that seemed ok earlier started to seem sluggish so I decided to bring them all inside while I treat them. This made baby(the barred) perk up a little more. They all seem to be happier together. It also gave me a chance ro deep clean the coop and run. We took our all the old sand, sprayed it down, and out new sand in. I used vinegar and soap inside the coop. Now it is just air drying. They are all still eating and drinking. I gave them all a bit of vetrx. Per recommendation on another site. I have electrolytes and vitamins ready for when their treatment is over. I'm hoping they will all pull threw. If so we will have to find another hen to being our flock back to 4. Husband might be getting a chicken for Christmas XD any good places we can look to find a hen?

My husband said as long as it's not over the mountains he wouldn't mind driving 3 to 4 hours for a healthy friendly hen. Now he wants two... I told him to hold up until we clear the ones we have XD so far so good though. Woke up to 3 hens still alive. 2 really really wanted out so I made sure there only water source was the treated one and let them free range for a few hours. The little barred stayed inside. She finally got perky and rowdy enough that I let her out for like 15 minutes. She scratched around a bit and then came back to the door. They are very vocal today which is nice to see. Since two were very quiet yesterday. 1 day down only 6 more to go.
