His name was Ryan Gosling. His lady friend was Georgia. They did free-range here peacefully on 1.6 acres for 6 years. Ryan was so protective of his ladies, I am certain he defended Georgia till the end. I think it was a yote that got them. Probably a mama looking to feed her babies. Now my remaining girl Margie is in the safe yard with the ducks (Ruth, Bader and Ginsburg). Never saw this coming.

Georgia showed up today!!! He did save his girl. What a relief. And so very proud of him. Will miss him greatly, but pressure is off for a spell. Still might look for a gander down the road. What a great resource for bird lovers! Thanks to all for the concern.
