Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

So far this morning has been really nice! Took the chickens out for a bit and of course they beat feet to find puddles to drink out of.
Isn't that just like a chicken! :lau You bring them fresh water and they are drinking out of puddles. It's nice having a rain free morning! Rained so hard overnight that my yard is a mass of puddles again.

Yup! And in the summer if I get them out early enough they’re sipping dew that pools on the clover leaves! Of course it sparkles so that’s probably attractive to them. They’re so much fun to watch.

I have ankle length rubber boots thanks to Moose, and knee length.. the one pair he chewed the top of the one boot but them off below where he chewed, easy to slip them off and one ..
Hey what do I do with my large Cochin there is just two. If I build steps to the table just two will they walk up ?if I show them how?

I don't know why they wouldn't. Just put them on the roost a couple times and they'll probably go there on their own after that, but yes steps are important for the larger birds. My BOs can flap their wings all they want, but can't get off the ground.
