Had to take hubby to ER yesterday because his right arm was weak when he woke up. They think it might have been a mild stroke brought on by high blood pressure. Cat scan didn't show anything. They have him in ICU bring the blood pressure down slowly and watching for stroke. He'll be moved to a room tomorrow most likely. I can't visit. Madigan has a very strict policy in place to prevent Covid-19 infections. They won't let him out until they think he's safe. Good chance they will make his follow up appointment with our primary care physician before releasing him as well.

He probably has a better chance at good care with the army hospital right now as they aren't overwhelmed.

They pulled up his medical record and chastised him for not seeing his doctor and getting meds refilled. He kept telling me he didnt want to take time off work. I told him work wouldn't care.

They discharged him this afternoon. Don't want him at hospital where he'd be at greater risk of catching Covid-19. They weighed that against keeping him another week but felt he was safer at home. BP is down quite a bit and stable. Arm doesn't really work and he's tired.

I was right and they already scheduled his follow up. He's got a list of things and meds to take. Off work for at least 2 weeks
