Silky hatched? pictures how is the better half feeling

Yes there is food and water in the incubator. I need to find a box and set up the brooder plate tomorrow.

They are 3/4 silkie. Will be some color between partridge and wheaten. They both carry one copy of recessive white. The rooster in that pen is white.

50% chance for silkie feathers. They should look more like silkies in body type. Im not expecting big crests.

Double cute three of the girls are small then we have our big girl, She likes to flap
she has the fire in her do not mess with her babies

Pumice was showing signs of going broody but is irritated I moved her right now.

The nuggets are under the brooder plate for now.

4 were raising chicks together once. One would hide the chicks and the other 3 attacked me. This is very common with them when co-brooding

I have or had 5 ameracauna went up as young but feathered they are now letting them in clutch sold 2 three came at me I can lift the one sitting and look but God forbid I start to pick up a silky egg as two are broody so still get 2 silly birds

Spent several hours turning those cockerels I culled into chicken and dumplings. Even being 7 months old they did great after a quick trip through the pressure cooker. Meat after cooking look very much like duck in color. Bones were greyish.
