Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I'm exactly the same as you! The names they have now are just the best ones we landed on, but the majority of the time we just call them all Red or Fluffy Butt. Or Bertha. Or Hildegard. Or whatever strikes my fancy in the moment🤪
My daughters name all our chickens. They can tel them apart apparently. lol Our chicks names are:
Blue, Trix, Maple, Cherry, Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Jewel, Diamond, Spunky, Spade, Clover, Vanilla, Latte, Mocha and Hazel.

I went out and trimmed roosters butts this evening. I'm so very glad I did. I couldn't figure out why Ashes' rear was so black and stuck. Clipped down and found a wound. Not huge but big enough. Looked too light and seemed to glint inside. Flushed that out very well with water, then Vetricyn. Stupid fly strike. I caught it very early luckily. His bum is purple now and I'll keep an eye on him.

Urgh. At least everyone here understands the worry that happens with chickens

Glad you caught it early Took 7 eggs to the girls from Janoel12 they where a week behind the ones hatching now there is two girls on them they have not hatched for like 8 months now ..
Janoel24 has severel peeping in it ..
I think I may loose my 6 year old Olive Egger soon she is walking under the tables
tail down like she lost her best friend

Hey guys! I'm looking for any female bantam aged day-old to 2 years old. Here is the link to my original posting, which I'd like to revise on a couple of things:

a) they don't need to be super young, oldest we'll take is 2 years old as mentioned above

b) silkies are fine, although rarely sexed at a young age anyway

c) i didn't mention this before, but the chick/pullet/hen, whatever age, would need to be very friendly and OK with being held. the more of a lap chicken the better!

https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/looking-for-bantam-chicks-in-washington.1375930/

if anyone has any info or friends/family with friendly and young bantams, let me know! My email is [email protected], or you can reply directly to my thread above. Happy chickening!
