So maybe this baby isn't a boy. Juvenile feathers have been coming in. No black in the chest feathers. No red on wing bows. Round hackles in partridge type hen color (no orange). Comb has not gotten any larger even though it was so big in comparison before. At 6 weeks with this color I'd call obvious female on full partridge silkies. So I might have 3 little pullets. The other two are the same color that only can appear with females given their background. All seem to carry blue.

I have two hatched order is for 6 but had 15 eggs the two marans eggs are for me and one green egg at least

No sorry. They will be going towards a project. Only have 3 at moment and my eggs haven't been fertile. I keep setting in hopes that it improves.

Yesterday we picked up a truckload of composted horse manure and I put it around the kiwis, tomatoes and blueberries that we planted at our "homestead". Then I scooped up a bunch of fallen pine needles and put it over that. Today I'm staying home to finally plant my fig, take out a rose I don't like and put in a Lady of Shalott rose. Oh and do laundry!! I have no clean underwear left

I may stop by the Bremerton Wilco to check out these chicks, Cream Brabanters, which I'm intrigued about. But I really don't have the room for more chicks right now and the homestead isn't set up yet for chickens.

Hubby got the good news today that he only has to see the doctor every other week now. His blood pressure has been dropping steadily for the last week once the diuretic got the swelling under control. He may get to an actual normal blood pressure in the next week or two. It's down to just elevated about have the time now.

He's been told to watch his sodium intake and keep it to the average healthy amount for adults. That means he doesn't want to eat out as much which is wonderful.

He's been getting use back on his right hand. It's been slow and steady but is getting there.
