Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

She cant see well. Mostly blind. Movement can catch her attention at distance rarely. She sticks her face near the ground so she can watch where she's walking. She's a good weight and healthy. Still enjoys treats if I put it in a pile so she can find it. Her blue companion is 6 I think.

I tossed some bread bits to her and the chicks a few days ago. The blue hen picked up a piece and took it over in front of grandma. Then she brought another over and tidbit called grandma's attention before walking off to get her own share of the bread.

I was flabbergasted. I don't think I've ever seen a chicken so that before.

Wow they are bonded.. I am kinda worried my OE my oldest bird she is about 7 went head first in a nest box.
She has not been quite right for awhile not egg bound it is her back she got hurt one of the cockerel I had for awhile ... Might be the end for her, have not had a egg from her in like 3 days now

She follows me like a dog. She's such a sweetheart.

I love it not having to water the garden. My dirt is sandy though so I should even in the rain. The slugs are becoming pan sized! :gig

She's one of the 3/4 silkies. Looks much more like a silkies compared to her full sisters. Skin is too light but she looks more silkie than most hatchery birds Ive seen.

Thinking myself but eeewww put beer out for slugs need to myself here .... Planted some established we had bought but did not water last night so now do not have to ...
Guess I have never seen a hatchery silkie. The one of yours is quite large the other three
are tiny but you know that ... They are so spoiled ... you would have been proud to see little mud perk up broody the second I put a peep under her
