We did get two showers one as I was doing my coops but the first let dogs out at 7 had already

Since more than one of us have areas wth muddy runs. What do you guys do to make it safe to walk in and would you use gravel or shaving?

Now we have to put sprinklers on it they say no rain for 30 days

Since more than one of us have areas wth muddy runs. What do you guys do to make it safe to walk in and would you use gravel or shaving?

I use chips from a tree service! They are happy to dump them and I’m more than happy to let them! Call around your local area. Usually they put you on a list and will dump when they’re in your neighborhood.

I use straw because it's cheap to buy. I'd love wood chips. I have a lot of places and pens for them.

Best is if you can fully cover the run. Makes whatever you put down last longer as well.

I use whatever I can get my hands on. Whether its fall leaves, pine cones and pine needles or shredded paper, tissues, grass clippings...you name it. I recently got some wood chips from around the corner, but not that much. Unfortunately for me, there is nowhere on our property for a service to dump chips. We have an off grid property that I can have chips dumped at, but it is in Tahuya and tree services rarely come out there. I signed up for a service called Chipdrop, so hopefully one day I'll find a pile of chips out there!

We layed pavers from the ones we have for a path. He throughs grass clippings blows leaves in in the fall we have lot's here to use
