Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

So much rain overnight last night! Today, the dust bath (an old turtle shaped kid's sand box) was FULL of muddy sand and water, going to need I dump the entire thing this weekend and probably just pull it out. We've been getting 9-10 eggs pretty regularly, so I think it's safe to say that 12 of our 13 pullets are laying, leaving just our little scissor beak (who still makes chick noises at almost 27 weeks) as the only one not laying. Today though, we only got 5 eggs and we just found 2 soft-shell (no shell, just membrane) eggs and a Lash egg.

Hello Washingtonian thread!
Is anyone near ravensdale wanting a free buff silkie rooster? He's 4 months old and needs a home fast! He has not started crowing yet.

may need nap later
GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
My kids did that Friday night/Saturday morning. We have security cameras in their rooms (my youngest has ODD and can't be left unsupervised) and when my almost 7 year old fell asleep on a 20 minute car ride, I went looking to see how early they got up, 3am! They were quiet and didn't wake either of us up until almost 8, but was super concerning because the 6 year old takes meds to help her sleep.

I am thankful to be old no young children ..
Pray for you and yours with challenges ..
Our forecast here call for rain into next Wednesday.
The chickens are her "calming" activity. She takes great pride in taking care of them! I always go out with her, I have a latch up high so she can't get in without an adult, but she does all the egg collecting, poo scraping, nest box filling, feed and water buckets are filled by her with help. I got this flock to help both kids learn a little bit about responsibility, but she has taken it on whole hog! My son thinks they "smell awful", but I don't smell anything unless they drop a particularly ripe bomb nearby.
