Seems to be here also .. Our little frizzle is squatting for us.
Day to myself Better half and Son are shopping for Christmas ...

I have four, 9-10 week old bantam pullets if anyone is interested. They are bantam cochin/silkie mix. Asking $10 each.

I can attest to her birds for sure had 4 silkie from her all great birds

I don't know anything about the sire's line. It was an accidental egg. He matured very early but that hasn't happened with his sons. They are still acting like chicks at 10 weeks.

I have 9 big birds that age here. A barred rock cockerel.
A silkie x frizzle cockerel who has learned to crow

These guys are still peeping. They run screaming for mama still.

There is no Mom for the 9.
Maybe the Son he cares for them the feed water clean shavings .. They think I am devil I guess.

Is your coop up off the ground or on the ground???

I left the light on in the coop when I went out at 5:30am,,,
2 of the new brown leghorns(30weeks)
and the 2 red leghorns(29weeks)
arnt laying yet


I have been using these nesting pads for 6 months, there "ok" but I think I might switch to the astro-turf squares -- I am still getting a broken egg a day (yes it gets eaten)
