Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Thanks for the recommendations on a coop builder everyone! I have been in contact and going back and forth with Donald (The Original Chicken Man) and he really does do amazing work! All custom built. So I've come up with a design and going to book him! He's about 8 - 10 weeks out for production time so it will be good timing for my move up there in Jun. See my attached design sketch. Let me know if you have any other thoughts. The shed coop (with storage) and run will be a fully covered, continuous gable pitch roof. Coop/henhouse is 8'x5'. Run is 8'x14'. I only have 4 girls today and looking to add 4 to 6 more in the next year or two.
Well my coop and run has been built and installed by the Original Chicken Man from Orting and I couldn't be happier! Thank You for the recommendation. Check out the pics...

Hard to say why huh. Most have learned to stay out of the chickens way .. I am going to human society next couple of days looking for Bob we had 3 outdoor cats all the same age he is the one left and 8. Would like one about that age. Use to being out ..
They have a Shasta or screned porch to get in the dogs love their kittys ... We lost the last other Mo not long ago.

The chicks will be a mix of whatever your rooster is and whatever the hen is. I get pure buff orpingtons from mine because my rooster is one and so are a few of the hens. But then I also get some interesting mixes that are obviously BO over RIR or Australorp. i did get some lavender orpingtons, but I had a LO rooster at the time. He has been rehomed, so I won't get them anymore. It will be whatever a BO over LO looks like. Should be interesting. However they turn out, they will be big fluffy chickens. I love all orpingtons.

I also now have 4 leghorns. Interesting and skittish little birds.
Sadly, not taking chicken math into consideration, I cannot have any more chickens, but guess I could sell any chicks that get brooded. I have 2 that went broody last summer more than once. I don't have an incubator, but for now, can barely keep up with egg demand from paying friends. The pullets should start laying around July 25. Mr. Remo tried to bite/pinch me today, so I pinned his head and body down for a short time, then picked him up and petted him. He actually drooled after looking content. Is that normal? Kinda like my cat used to do. Lol.

Everyone loved being out in the sunshine today.
