Are they young? They will often grow out of that behavior. I keep cockerels separate when I need to until they mellow out a bit.

I go out with a stick and tap it on the ground, like you would to heard geese. My husband flaps his arms. :gig But usually we just wait for Pippi, the rooster, to put them in. If we go out to dinner, we lock them in when we get home but they will already be in.
