I have 3 window we open but also have 2 small fans 1 stand up aimed at the nest boxes.
They do have trees that shade the coop Often girls are outside in the shade and breeze.
Yeah my girls spend most of the day in a very shaded tree'ed backyard. But where their run/coop is there's zero shade so it's 10+ degrees hotter when the sun's beating down. I wish they were quicker about egg laying so they can get back out into the breeze and shade. But they all spend 1 to 2 hours to lay!
Had to go pay a couple bills this morning, bought 3 bags of layer pellets on
the way back. Now tables are done. Still need to cut lettuce for salad tonight.

Three bags? How many chickens do you have? I bought one bag a couple weeks ago and my eight have eaten about half of it. My source for feed is only about a mile away from my house, so I don't need to stockpile.
My body is tired today. I was going to install an electric fence around my garden, but for some reason I decided to fire up the weed eater and do some trimming. 300 feet of ditch in front of my house, around all the garden beds, around the house and 100 feet of fence line. My hands are a little tender, too. LOL
Instead of electric fence, I deer proofed the garden beds with various sections of fencing and pieces of lumber. Dang deer. If I feed them from my garden this summer and fall, it's only fair that I eat one of them over the winter. Hahahaha!
Picked a bunch of my red Russian kale today, and snapped off a small head of broccoli. Gonna have a BAS (big bleep salad) and a hunk of sockeye salmon I got at Freddy's a few weeks ago. Looking forward to supper!
Started making a calcium supplement for my garden today. Eggshells and vinegar. Toast the crumbled shells and soak in vinegar for 10 days. Need to check, but I think you use like a teaspoon per gallon of water when applying.
