I dug in the shed and got the tarps out for the silkie pens along with the extra greenhouse plastic for the gaps. I'll put some of that up tomorrow I think. Still a little warm for the tarps. I could put the end one on.

We bought a small piece of 1/2 inch plywood.
One of the cats want sleep on the stove leaves hair on it.
this plywood will be a cover now going to stain it also.

Sorry everyone I have been so busy,
I have had grandkids over 2 days in a row, ages 13,12,9,8,5,1.6 ,,,
and I have been getting ready for winter, and canning, and just busy.
got a lot of honey garlic and honey ginger made,

Yesterday was a really pretty day in Chelan, 78. (one hr from my house.) There were boat races, The beach was pretty empty, I guess everyone was at October fest, in Leavenworth.

As soon as the dewdrops dry up I'm going to spread some sifted compost around my kale and Brussels sprouts plants. I picked the lower leaves from all the kale plants yesterday so there'd be room to work the compost into the soil.

Edited to add: I spread about an inch of compost over the top of the soil and left it mostly on top, then watered it in.

Not yet in the garden here we will see the the first frost yet.

We had our frost last week. Usually it's the second week of September.
