Next couple of days going to use blackberry as fruit.
took the recipe off all recipes site.
I did get the meatballs baked for dinner tonight.

I dumped 1.25" out of the rain gauge this morning. Wet weather is here.

Sure is rain boots and carhart raincoat full use.
Have 2 hatched now a marans egg and olive green egg have hatched.

I saw a pink blossom on a rhododendron yesterday, and thought to my self, how odd, can it be? do they ? can they bloom twice? but there it was, small, bold not caring winter is beating at the door.

Who would expect to see
Violets in late November?
As well might the apple tree
Blossom in dull December.

Things of this nature sound
Really beyond all reason;
For who on the earth has found
Spring in the winter season?

Yet violets come to me,
Even in wintry weather;
You say, But how can it be? —
Well, let us reason together:

Cicely's gentle hand
Sent them; and she is very
Friendly in Fairy-Land,
Loved of every fairy;

She is my dearest friend,
Happy am I to befriend her;
Fairies on her attend,
Wonderful gifts they send her;

Therefore I think you see,
When these things you remember,
How violets come to me,
Even in late November.

Love the poem have not seen that before.
No rain but today very wet still.
Mocha crapped outside today. They where not potty trained!
How can you have 4 standard poodle puppies not potty trained.

Going to get down to 34 tonight. I think that's the first time this year. It won't last. Rain comes back tomorrow and that will warm things up a bit.

I think today is the day to move all the deck plants to the greenhouse. Lots of trimming to do.

It was icy out here this morning. I had to step carefully on the front deck when I went outside to let the chickens out.

No sun here in the 40's short cake was dry I chucked it.
Made a pound cake with cream cheese and blackberry.
Pound cake is my go to on cakes.
