Oh yeah, on the way back from Onalaska the power company was trimming trees so I stopped and asked if taking the chips to Winlock was too far for them, and it was. But he took down my information and said if they were in the area they might give me a load of chips. At least I'm on their list now.

I didn't end up with as many collards in the freezer as kale. I got 4 quarts of kale, just a little over 2 quarts of collards. It's a good start I guess. I used most of my yogurt, cottage cheese and sour cream containers, so I'll have to figure out what to use next. Might have to use quart freezer bags.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the thread! I'm from a tiny town in the PNW of Washington state. Colville to be exact . I have 4 beautiful Rhode island reds hens. No roosters. 2 dogs ( well more like humans) 2 grand daughters and the man. I love hunting, fishing camping and hiking. I have a bakery that does custom berries and other treats. But for the most part it is me and the girls ( they are my happy place) . 2 that are laying everyday 1 who had a lash egg ( been raising chickens for years and never had or seen one before) she no longer lays eggs but is fat ( to me) and sassy (3.4 lbs) 1 that is broody who I cannot break for the life me, ezzy is small losing weight ( going to worm this week, and up protein intake I guess 16% layer crumbles isn't good enough) and lou lou she just sassy .

I'm getting a new fridge delivered on Wednesday. It's a basic top-freezer fridge, no water or ice, 18.3 cubic feet. I need to remove the existing water line that's going to the bigger 20 year old Kitchenaid, that will go out into the shop.

Welcome @PiPsmomma . I finally got my 50# bag of real oyster shells for the chickens. Now I won't have to buy layer pellets, ever again!

I bought lumber this morning for whatever I'll need it for. New chicken house, greenhouse and fence rails is the plan for it at the moment, but plans change so who knows where it'll end up.

Hmmm might not be flakes might be little pearls round.
Have you opened the bag yet?

You mean the one at Wilco? I’m seeing that it’s “derived from” oyster shells too. I will report back if it’s pure or not when I pick it up!
