Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Bought the egg rounds many years ago.
The Son wanted to buy same from Jimmy Dean.
So showed him to do them by himself.
To me it better than what to buy ours have fresh eggs.
I bought those too, but have found i just prefer frying an egg and folding the edges in. Something bought the texture the rounds made was off for me. More like a hard boiled egg.

I just came in from spreading. Mulch. I haven't done that kind of work since I got sick 7 years ago. Now I find i don't have the stamina. The trees are big. I'd say we spread half a truckload of Mulch. Dh is still out there working on it. I came in before I passed out.

after I recover for 10 min I'm going to go check on the garden beds and herbs and see what there is to do there. More my speed.

Hopefully this afternoon we will change out all the straw in the coop. Much easier to move straw than mulch!!!

Don't work too hard! I do a little work then take a break that's about as long as I worked, more or less. I probably take more break time than work time. Whatever the job is, it'll get done eventually. I don't even have my tomatoes planted yet, but maybe that'll happen this evening when it starts cooling down.

Well, I need to take a long, long break now. Just finished hanging the deer mesh up around the garden bed. I decided to use some of my small multicolor zip ties I bought for chick identification. Haven't used them on chicks, so decided to make use of them. The ones I'm getting from Walmart are black, and I'll use those to tie the sides down.

I think my peppers, beans and tomatoes are safe from deer now. The fence is 8.5 feet tall.

Herbs drying on the back porch line. Oregano and lemon balm.

I take a chair and force myself to take breaks. My lungs don't tolerate me overdoing it
