Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Purchased these littles June 12 from TS was told they were pullets but I think the big one might be a roo it is twice as big as the other ones in fact i just weighed them and big one was 7.4 oz. And the one right next to was only 4 oz. They were in the same bin have no idea what breed they are... Also the big one has a white .spot on it's head and the other chicks do not. Right now we calling her/him Bigfoot lol 😆 what you all think 🤔 roo or hen?

My uneducated guess is that it's a little cockerel because it seems like it has a large comb and big wattles for a chick. But because of its feather development it looks older than the others, so maybe it's a pullet.

I went from a 22 foot to an 18 foot fridge and the old one went out into the shop. My son is living with me temporarily and all his food was leaving me with no room of my own. Most of his food goes into the garage fridge and freezer now, and I'm much happier. I don't like a cluttered fridge.

I felt sorry for my poor little chicks so I did some rearranging. The old hens and teenagers wouldn't let the chicks get out from under the coop at all, so no access to food or water. The older ones are now locked up in the secure run with half of the coop to roost in, and no access to the day run at all. They have about 15 square feet of space each, so they're not cramped.

The sliding door on the coop lets the little chicks into the day run, and they get the brooder half of the coop to roost in. The food and water is in there too.

I'll give it a month or two and try integrating again when the chicks are bigger. Maybe by that time the cockerels will be getting cocky and fight back. LOL

I cut a hole through the 1/4" hardware cloth to make a doorway for the chicks to enter their old brooder space. Lined the edges with duct tape.

We have a huge house 2100 square house.
Built by the first Postmaster for his wife.
They kept making it larger as kids where born.
So 5 bedrooms just one huge bathroom 2 vanities other is small with just a shower stall.
The one room has a loft built now used by cat boxes we can keep from the dogs. Our little stand up freezer there also.
Part of that room is also where DH cut into the room so we can have the newer fridge into it setting it back not in our way.

Such a great chicken tender!
The last couple years bought a new fridge twice the size of the old one.
Old one still works it went in the laundry room.
Cut a whole in one room to fit the new side by side.
My old one works, but I was just happy to have them haul it away. I cannot possibly use 3 refrigerators. Or can I? 🤔
