Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Grocery Outlet is one of those stores where you have to know the regular price for things at other stores. Sometimes you can find good deals, sometimes its cheaper elsewhere

I don’t go often either but when I do I always wonder why I don’t go more often ! You never know what you’ll find there.
I need to check it out more often. I guess it's a place that's better for finding random deals rather than filling a specific grocery list. But I WAS specifically looking for tomato sauce today, and yes, I checked the Fredmeyer tomato sauce price online before I went shopping, so I knew. LOL

I've never been there.
It’s kind of fun, there are brands from all over but like Smoker Bill said you don’t know what they will have so if you’re strictly a list shopper it might be less than ideal.
Oh ! One thing they have always had since I’ve been stopping by for at least 10 years is dry beans and split peas packed in Moses Lake Washington ! And they have been very good quality and cleaner, much cleaner than beans I’ve bought anywhere else. It think they were 1.25 for the pound bag last time I was there.

I am definitely a list shopper, which is why I'm not likely to stop in to any of the bargain stores. It seems I can never find everything I want in one grocery store as it is, so after 2 or 3 stores I'm too tired to go exploring. But I'm a bit jealous of all the great deals you all find.
In our house it works best to plan meals out a week at a time and shop once a week, but that doesn't lend itself to much improvisation. I hate to throw any food out and yet most of my groceries are fresh produce. The local small town stores don't really specialize in that.

Winco and Fred Meyer are less than a block away from each other on opposite sides of the road here. I shop them a lot. Winco is most of our groceries.

Walmart is a traffic light from Fred Meyer and I go there for certain things. They have a good selection of no salt veggies both canned and frozen.

Costco is 12 miles away. Shop there as well. Every 3 or 4 weeks we hit the Costco Business Center. Business Center for meat primals, regular for sliced meat if Im not feeling like cutting myself. The primals are cheaper per pound. Business Center also carries juice and the water hubby like cheaper than anywhere.

Wilco for feed now. It's on the route to the Business Center so we hit it on same day usually.

We stopped at Fred Meyer and got some of those 6.99/lb ribeyes last night. Couldn't pass that up
