Two days and my friend will pick all but one of the young ones and take Fred.

I was really missing my morning scrambled eggs with salsa and cheese so I broke down and bought a few dozen large eggs. I would be embarrassed if I had chickens that laid eggs that small. I guess I got too used to having extra large and jumbo eggs.

I only have silkies left and 2 elderly EEs. All my eggs are small. 2 makes a large

You're new young ones will lay them pretty small in the beginning. You might not remember that. I always get a kick out of those first eggs.

Made trip to the feed store in Onalaska bought 3 bags
of excel feed pellet layer.
We moved the wood feeder back on brick I broke to line the coop.
put a 4 inch round partial fence post under the front make it level.

Yep, I remember. My barred rocks had lots of problems starting out too. Lots of shell-less and soft eggs at the start. I hope the new ones have a better time when they start laying.

I watered part of the garden today.

Well my bud picked up the extra boys and Fred.
I have two that night be boys left 4 pullets for sure.
