Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I got hatching eggs, pullets, and roosters from 2 different people who imported from David Grote. I've had those chickens for quite awhile. I recently just added a few more that are from a lady who imported from Sigrid.
Lived in Iceland for 3 years. Never thought about bringing chickens here. But then I didn't have chickens in those days.

Lucky you! Would love to see photos. All the ones I saw were white.

I've never seen Icelandic chickens and I'd like to see pics too. And welcome to the thread!

Hot and dry. It's watering weather. I soaked the butternut squash and the patch of shallots and onions today. The remaining snow peas aren't doing much so I'm going to leave them until the vines dry up and save the seeds for next year's garden.

The garlic I hung under the roof of the back deck are drying really well. The tops are pretty much completely dry all the way down to the bulbs.

The second integration try didn't work out. After a couple hours the little chicks were cowering in a corner, so I separated them and will try again in a few weeks.

I bought 2 t shirts one is smokey the bear other is mount rainier.
Ya the two boys still have not learned to crow.
Kinda quiet here without the crow.
I buy all my birds at6 this point from my Bud let her so the hatchin.
Might be a few weeks before I try them with the big girls.
