Just got back from Onalaska to pick up a bag of Xcel 18% all purpose pellets. I need to figure out how to make the hens and pullets eat more of the flaked oyster shells because they don't seem to like them. I'm going to try crushing them into smaller pieces and see if that makes a difference.

Well, it's 100 degrees out. That's hot. Going to see how the chickens are doing.

Chickens seem okay. They were happy to get some watermelon. Nice cool treat. I have a thermostat out there now to see what the temp is out there, but it will take a few minutes to register.

Finished fixing our back door today. Fix is stronger than how the jam was previously. Replaced the wood and sank screws deep into the framing.

We kind of had to break the frame on it to get it open as a piece of metal from the deadbolt frame caught on the metal strip we had for a strike plate. We also know how to break into a house using a shovel now, too.
