Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Really new in Ridgefield now.
Yes, right off the freeway. But the area is congested. They are putting a lot of businesses and fast food places in the same big parking lot area. I think it will be quite inconvenient when it's all up and running. Not sure I would go back. But it was worth it for the fish. That's primarily what I stopped for. I needed a firm white fish for a dish I'm making Monday and they had cod, so I settled for that.

I have bought Rockfish fresh in the lacy Costco.
No fishy taste even though I cut them freeze part it.
Very large packages.
I know. You have had such great results with the rockfish from Costco Lacey. Unfortunately I had a bad experience and that generally turns me off for good. Same thing with their frozen mahi mahi, which I used to buy and love in Virginia. I don't dare now, not from that store.

The swordfish was to die for. Dinner was amazing. Grilled it on the hibachi, 4 min per side, and it was perfect, not dry at all. IDK....may have to drive down there to get some more. First, I will find out how it is after it has been frozen. That may be a week or two. Then who knows if they'll still have it.

I know what you mean. We do have our favorites. I will only buy steaks at that Costco because they are prime cut and can't be beat. Same with the tri tips. We will eat any kind of salmon or trout, but Atlantic salmon is our favorite. Generally that is farm raised, so friends tell me not to eat it, but I like it. I was able to get wild caught Atlantic salmon from Iceland at Haggen though. :That was amazing.

We eat fresh fish rarely the rockfish does not get fishy even after three months in the freezer.
Farm raised fish tends to be mushy to me.
Guess I am fussy that way.
Moose wanted out before daylight It all four out.
Went back to bed slept to 9:30 went did morning chores.
