Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Looked like it killed and ate a red winged blackbird. The silkies tried to off it every time it landed on the ground. It flew into the fence on the end with the bachelor pen. They watched and attacked each time
Your silkies don't take no crap! LOL

It's almost dark now, need to go out and close the coop door. Weird thing, my RIR cockerel has taken to laying down in the doorway entry up until it gets dark outside. Seems to me like he's trying to be protective of the other chickens and standing guard. He also tidbits, pays attention to the nest boxes. Might be the one to keep for the ladies.

That is absolutely the one!

I had another bunji chewed right through it was almost new.
2nd one I have lost that way?
Ordered some may go down to hardware here and pick up a couple.
Who or what is chewing through your bungees? And why???

We made it back to WA this weekend and the girls did great. They’re using their ramp and I swear they’ve doubled in size! The auto door is working great and we put their bigger food and waterer out in the run.

I am jet lagged out of my mind. There is still a bit along the back fence where water is dripping down onto the bedding, but I’ll deal with it tomorrow.
