today greted me with snow and then rain so now everything is cold and wet i was enjoing the spring Wormth!

We're creeping up on 2 inches for today. Snow in forecast after 10 tonight

None here and rain is slowing tonight.

Should clear up today, and perhaps last through tomorrow, but the next storm is a comin'.

Our normal spring huh.
Nice here today did the ash from the stove.
Lit a fire always fun easy to do has a ash drawer.
Making pub cheese burgers with fries.
Getting excited to get the garden started.

My plan is to get my seeds in pots today. Have to run to town for some potting soil. Fortunately that's available right here in Toledo. I still have fertilizer from last year, plus I have chicken manure/straw mix that has aged for several years. Good stuff that.

We got SO MUCH SNOW - and it didn’t stick, just snowed all day.

The girls didn’t know what to make of it.

These freeloaders still don’t want to sleep in the coop, and to add insult to injury they’ve been laying eggs on the floor under the coop instead of the nest boxes.

I tried putting some furniture back there to prevent it and they just squeezed in next to it, so I’ve got to come up with something else.

I was thinking of throwing a wooden lattice or something back there so that it’s not comfortable to lay on. If yall have any suggestions I’m here for it! Building out the nest boxes was a lot of extra engineering so it’s driving me a little nuts that they won’t use ‘em! We put fake eggs in and everything.

Well, I was able to get all my herb pots cleaned out of the old dirt. Tomato pots are ready. DH was busy in the yard with other projects so we'll pick up fresh soil tomorrow. Want to get it done while it's not raining.

Finally got some seeds planted. I cleared the compost off a couple small spots in the garden and planted collard, kale, leaf lettuce and yellow onion seeds. I'll transplant them when they're big enough to move. I'll plant tomato seeds in the garden in a few weeks.
