Was there someone on here on Bainbridge?

On a brighter note made Cowboy pickled eggs. Made just a small batch wanted to try them out. The girls are given us about 6-7 eggs a day now not bad since 1 girl RIR BigRed is now almost 5 years old. (oh I have 11 girls by the way) I think she maybe done laying but I do catch her in the coop tryen to sit on everyone's else's eggs lol she don't stay long. If i find her in there i just let her be and about an hour later she's done and doesn't go back in until the next day. I know I have 2 that are not laying Pepper that is sick and BigRed so not bad 9 laying hens and 6-7 eggs a day is more then enough for us.

These look delicious! Another way to use and preserve surplus. Recipe? Only if you don't mind sharing.

We got SO MUCH SNOW - and it didn’t stick, just snowed all day.

The girls didn’t know what to make of it.

These freeloaders still don’t want to sleep in the coop, and to add insult to injury they’ve been laying eggs on the floor under the coop instead of the nest boxes.

I tried putting some furniture back there to prevent it and they just squeezed in next to it, so I’ve got to come up with something else.

I was thinking of throwing a wooden lattice or something back there so that it’s not comfortable to lay on. If yall have any suggestions I’m here for it! Building out the nest boxes was a lot of extra engineering so it’s driving me a little nuts that they won’t use ‘em! We put fake eggs in and everything.
Old habits die hard. Wishing you luck.
