Got pics ??? I'd love to see it & any suckers or rootings you may have !Are you talking about lilacs? When we moved here 15 years ago, I had to bring a lilac from the prior home with me. Just loved the thing. I brought 25 cuttings - soaked them in water until they rooted, then planted them outdoors. Thankfully, 1 survived. It is now a huge tree that I absolutely love. A lot of lilacs send up a bunch of stems that make them bushy - this one doesn't. It's a beautiful tree with a thick trunk.
Oh Crap no !!! I hope you are OK !!!Uhm yes.![]()
Explain this Carolina Allspice...it is a bush, a small tree, does it have spice/seeds ?*If* I get someone to help me dig (which: not so awfully likely) and IF Deirdre has room, I may be able to bring some lilacs and Carolina Alspice to Chehalis, but in general, if anyone wants what I can give, that means they need to come and dig. I do have shovels, spading forks, and pots if you don't want to deal with bare root plants, but I am outnumbered by garden these days.
I'm guessing it's the wrong time of year to transplant trees, right? I have an unwanted Golden Rain Tree (I might actually have 2) and an unwanted Red bud in my "tree nursery". I grew them from starts. They are 3 years old. I'd hate to dig them up and have them die, though.
Now is a perfect time to transplant trees (and shrubs). Just make sure that they get ample water in their new home.this was directed at ItsRen--- I would take either of your trees, and I think now is actually a good time to move plants in this area? I have a tree called a golden *chain* tree, I wonder if it's the same thing? It is covered in yellow strings of flowers for a few weeks in summer, the bees love it.
Hey -- for the Chehalis show -- is there a specific Hotel ya'll are staying at? DW wants to drive over on Friday![]()
