Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I have to go make Tacos, so cannot hang around like I'd like to...but wanna say HEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to all the peeps & talk to ya later.
Also wanted to mention that on the news 2 days ago the talking heads were discussing some issue & referred to talking to one's freinds about upcoming snow as:

"Guess you'll have to contact your peeps & get ready for snow season !!!!!!!!!!""

I found this profound...is he a BYCer ?????????????????????
How does he have peeps ????????????????????????????

LOL Our terminology has reached suburbia, and beyond !!!
Now just waite, next nasty incident on the news will refer to it as "NASTY APPLESAUCE WRECK ON I-5"....LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for turning me to Marge. She was a hoot on the phone today. Talked with her almost 30 minutes. Got quite the lesson on a broody hatching eggs. The eggs she was gonna sell me are 4-5 days in so she said I should hatch my eggs that I put under her today and I can get the chicks that hatch from her eggs when mine hatch. Gonna be getting 4. And she lives 3 miles down the road from me. WooHoo
Marg is so cool and excellent birds !!!!!!!!!!!!

Not tomorrow night! It's next weekend! The 17th! :barnie

Here's just one more example of women NOT  knowing whats going on !!    Kim told me she was going to the show THIS weekend in Chehalis. Good thing somebody (probably CR) told her the show was NEXT weekend. would have hated to see her check into the hotel tonight and tomorrow morning wonder where everybody was :idunno   :gig

I believe it was you who contacted me to see if I could bring them back for you. You had already talked to Jeane so you should have known when thee show is. IF you asked. But that is not a guy thing and I don't think I would have said this weekend. But your antique ears might have heard that. :p

Hey Washingtonians, I have a question. I posted in the hatching forum but I haven't received any response. So I came here to ask
big_smile.png

I am hatching 5 eggs in a homemade incubator for the first time. They are on day 11 and are all doing great. With everything I read I am only expecting a hatch rate of 50% max. So my question is when can I expect to lose some eggs? Or when is the critical point? Not sure how to word my question..

Who says only 50%?

I've lost eggs throughout - maybe more after lock-down as I'm probably overly optimistic. I get about an 80% hatch rate.

Candle your eggs quickly at day 10, look for a developing embryo, replace any that look good, and questionable, replace too, and do not toss any until you are sure they are duds.
OBTW smell each an every egg you candle for "OFF" odors...so as not to have a explosion of bad egg goo.
There is alot of info to be had on the Learning Center BYC threads...so ther & see all threads about candleing, etc.
