The trim has to be custom cut so they're coming back Wednesday to finish. Stinks to high heaven right now because of the paint, but I know it'll go away after a couple days.

The woodstove is very nice. I love mine.

I don't think there has been a more talked about item on BYC in the 5 years I've been reading, than the Egg Skelter.

Jess, nice skelter and wood stove!

Jenn, enjoy your Silkies. I wanted a white but the single white egg in my assortment wasn't viable.

Everyone who's going to the show, have fun and wish I could be there.

Gosh I wish I could go to the show too, but DH has forbidden looking in hopes I won't buy more chickens. Haha. I'll also have all 3 kids this weekend who wouldn't appreciate driving 1.5-2 hours to get to Chehalis :( Bummer.

I bought more paper plates, napkins, and coffee cups. I think I have enough silverware. I didn't get a veggie tray. I am going to make a layered dip, and chips.
The picture is what I had on hand last night. So now I need to unload the groceries out of the car, and start making the baklava, and GF almond tart. I am hoping to go to bed at a reasonable hour tonight. I didn't bother going to sleep last night. I am hoping that I can reset my bio clock. I am getting tired of missing mornings.

I also have a case of water, and a selection of soda pop, plus coffee, tea, and instant hot chocolate.

That's OK, I can wait for a long time to have to dig another hole.
I'm probably not getting there until 2pm, at the earliest, and would appreciate help getting the chairs in and out of the car. I screwed up yesterday and hyperextended my (already pretty iffy) right thumb, and am slowed down on the load-lifting bits of life.
I forgot to wash the chicken box today- I'm not sure I'm actually looking to buy anything, but if there's Porcelein bare-footed bantams of any sort, it would be spitting in the face of providence not to buy them, right?
DH has been home all day and in a rotten mood, which is seriously less fun than it mught be.
OH- also, in my search for protein-rich feed supplements: Lentils. Which are usually pretty cheap, cook quickly, and are less prone to insect infestations than a lot of other dried legumes. They're also mostly produced outside of the areas impacted by the midwest drought, unlike soybeans.
I avoid the bantams aisles most times.....it is the sale area that tends to draw me as a magnetic force...........................

Very cool fireplace. I am so jealous. I am going to have to wait a couple of years before I can even think about buying a wood stove. I get cold very easily, and would love to have a warmer house.

As for the egg skelter, I am going to have to wait, because I spent to much on groceries today. I am delighted that you got yours today.
