I personally have a huge attachments to certain American Bandogs though. There are some real beauties and powerhouses out there!! The Presa Canario is nice too. . . Who you might consider a Bandog as well.

The last Bandog I had though was put down because of wobbler's and a neurological disorder from being bitten as a puppy.

It's called BAD breeding. The breeder had gorgeous dogs, and our dog was AMAZING, but he really needs to clean up the fact that his dogs had wobblers in their genes.

Most heart breaking thing to ever encounter with a dog.

My family has been through alot of breeds, as we hunted for gennerations, but the most heart breaking of all was the english bulldog grump my neice got a few years ago...what a gorgeous wee pup, but talk about bred into ruin, these critters have squeezed hearts, have to have insemination to concieve and a ceasarean section to deliver, even still, sinuses and nasal passages in these branco-cephalic dogs are so ruined..that often the entire skull has to be surgically repaired, and she died of heart failure at under a year of age, and my neice is a vet assistant...

I am feeling a big relief. Worked all day doing firewood. Got just under 6 cord cut, split and stacked in the shed which means the shed is almost full and I can now stop sweating that. Quincy is laying in front of the stove right now enjoying the fruits of his labors today.

I tend to rescue gladiator breeds my last dog that passed was a 1/2 dobbie 1/2 rott/pitt/shep/lab mix
She was the runt at 90lbs and with the alpha dog instinct to protect and attack. she was the best dog I've ever had after some real training. the kids all loved her she would let them "ride" her around all while looking at me with eyes that said "please help me out here?"
