So I decided I'm not going to tell her for a couple days! She and her family stuffed themselves then complained that they were too full! I don't want them blaming upset stomachs on my duck eggs! They were PIGS!!!!!!! Then proceeded to leave a mess and go home!

Boy turning 35 has made me a grumpy old hag!!!

On a good note!!!----------------------------

My 90 year old Papa had a absolute blast! He said a beautiful 10 minute prayer! Never know if this is the last Holiday with him. My other 3 sisters were quite enjoyable and helped clean! My daughters are still doing dishes though!

I changed the duck water and have now put on the sweatpants and made a hot mug of tea! Happy Birthday to me!!

So I finally figured out that we are going to need dinner tonight. DH suggested chicken enchiladas. So I Googled a recipe and am going to find out if it is any good. There are times that I wish that I still had kids at home to do dishes. Maybe DH will do them.

T Hi I think that after a certain age us girls have earned the right to be a bit grumpy if the occasion calls for it. I am certain that the cook should never have to clean up afterwards.

I think that it is illegal in Washington to have wild waterfowl. I know of a case in Sumner that the person involved had rescued a injured duckling and raised it. When Fish and Wildlife found out they came and got the duck. The owner was protesting because it was very clear that the duck was never going to be rehabilitated and be returned to the wild. I think that the original people were able to get it back, but were warned to not mess with the wild duck population again. You could double check with the Padilla Bay Center @ http://www.padillabay.gov/ or Paws. Whatever you do check it out, because the fines and possible jail time isn't worth it.

I hope you'all are having a great holiday. Sometime soon you will all be getting sleepy, you are getting very sleepy. You are all getting very very sleepy. I'll be over to take my pick of chickens and duckys'

Rustler I'll let you take your pick. Do you have any requests?

And heavy fines if you get caught with duck feathers. Wild duck feathers

Hotter climes aside...what about ultraviolet radiation ?
So they have to spray their chickens with sunblock every day ?
Seriously!
Even the humans where veils and caftans to shade themselves from the unrelenting scorch of the sun over there !

The pictures she provided showed these featherlesss chickens free-ranging under shade cloth. The information Danischi posted seemed pretty reasonable. She knows someone involved and was alloweed to take 1 or 2 home. I don't remember the details exactly. The thread got a lot of people hot with the "this is not "natural" or "right". Seems to me if I was really hungry I'd just be glad to eat. The idea was that millions of people only have accesss to non nutritious plants, and that access to high quality protein could save many lives. I guess there are already large flocks in Israel.
Fascinating, but I still think they're ugly.

Russ

But you need to note, that these are skinny chickens, not meat birds at all, so what kind of nation are they expecting to feed ?
Looks to me like the guy is breeding a bald chicken as a pet...like a hairless chihuahua !
